ACE / KALW/ Sunset Youth Services Teenager Training Program

ACE has partnered with KALW to provide an after school audio engineering training program for teens attending Sunset Youth Services. Students take assignments to work on in ProTools and receive one-on-one mentorships with a professional sound engineer, ultimately producing pieces that will air on KALW’s local newsmagazine Crosscurrents. The goals are to help inspire a passion for sound design and help develop a marketable skill-set for the teenagers.

ACE/KALW/SFUSD Teenager Training Program

ACE has partnered with KALW to provide a six-week training program for high school students in the San Francisco Unified School District. Students learn how to record sound, how to tell audio stories, how to find their voice, and they get an introduction to digital production and audio mixing, ultimately producing a story for air on KALW’s local newsmagazine Crosscurrents.
