Association for Continuing Education

The Association for Continuing Education (ACE) provides streaming video-on-demand content and broadband Internet access to San Francisco Bay Area educational organizations. These organizations must be accredited public or private schools that use the Internet as a tool supporting educational curriculum in a classroom or computer lab, as well as administrative services for faculty.

ACE has partnered with video content provider unitedstreaming, a digital video-on-demand service brought to you by Discovery Education. It is the only standards-based video-on-demand application shown to increase student achievement and provides the largest and most current K-12 digital video/video clip library available today.

Broadband Internet connectivity is provided by ACE through its microwave spectrum licensed by the Federal Communications Commission as an Educational Broadband Service. All access, monthly connection and one-time installation fees are included. The broadband connection can be used as a primary or backup network. Interested organizations must complete the Internet Access User License Application Form and qualify for the service.

In a time of tight budgets and education standards, this is the right mix of content and broadband service to impact student achievement.
